To the Editor:
As a Rumford citizen, I support restraint of the town budget and property taxes. So it is that I want this year’s budget and property taxes to hold the line. I don’t think this position of restraint is radical.
Second, I support success in economic development. I credit those who have tried for many years, but they have not succeeded. I think it is time to try another direction. I don’t think a desire for economic development success is radical. I think it is a desire that taxpayers do not waste their money on unsuccessful programs.
So, I hope Rumford citizens will support a restrained town budget and successful economic development this year. The town must move forward in new ways.
Thomas Fallon, Rumford
