FARMINGTON — A Police Department spokeswoman said two local men are charged with driving over 85 mph in a 55 mph zone Friday night.
Bonnie Pomeroy, Farmington Police Department secretary, said Jeremiah Pinkham, 20, and Justin Young, 23, were driving the first two of four cars turning onto Route 2/Farmington Falls Road at about 10:15 p.m. Friday.
Sgt. Michael Adcock, who was in the fourth vehicle, saw the first two cars speed up near Mosher’s Seafood, Pomeroy said. Adcock passed the third car and recorded the speeds of Young’s and Pinkham’s vehicles.
The two were each charged with criminal speed, taken to the Franklin County Detention Center and later released on $3,000 unsecured bail. They have a court date of June 2.
