FARMINGTON — Artists and businesses are preparing for the First Friday Art Walk from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 1.
The event will include dancers, music, poetry, art and an exhibit by Eastern Postcard Co. The exhibit at North Church features reproductions from the company’s original glass photo plates.
The Barefoot Truth Dancers will perform on Main Street in the area of Enchanted and Liquid Sunshine, organizer Malcolm Porter said.
A poetry reading is planed from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Devaney, Doak & Garrett.
Art displays include the work of Kathy Richards-Pierce at County Seat Realty, Ron Passello at Soup For You, Joyce Dubay’s art students at SugarWood Gallery and art on the porch featuring the work of Lord Clinton Casey at 110 Perham St.
Open galleries and art displays are planned at Calico Patch, Enchanted, H. Brown Fine Art, Tracy Medling and Upcountry Artists.
Once again, the Merry Plinksters Ukuele Band will perform at Minikins.
Sensi Side will offer a display of fire spinning.
Other businesses will stay open late, including Everyday Music and Farmington Thrift Shop, which is holding a special sale.
