Hamlin Library accepting vendors at Founder’s Day
PARIS — The Hamlin Memorial Library and Museum is currently accepting vendor applications for the 37th Annual Founder’s Day event, which will take place on Saturday, July 18.
Spaces sized 20 feet by 20 feet cost $40 if reserved more than one month prior to the event. The fee increases to $50 for spaces reserved within one month of the event.

Hope Association craft fair set for May 9
RUMFORD — The Hope Association’s Spring Craft Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at 85 Lincoln Ave., Rumford.
Along with crafter exhibits,t here Will be raffles, a Chinese auction, cookie walk, food and a kids’ corner with games and prizes.
The What Not Shop will be open with a $5.00 Fill-A-Bag (clothing only) special, and the Briar Patch Greenhouse will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Team Sunshine.
Dead River Area Historical Society holding annual Walk-A-Thon
STRATTON — The Dead River Area Historical Society will hold its annual Walk-A-Thon at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Stratton Elementary School on School Street.
Proceeds from the walk will replace a World War II memorial plaque.
Refreshments will be provided at the event and on the course.

Honey bee club to hold workshop
PARIS — Oxford Hills Honey Bee Club’s workshop will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Oxford County Extension Center, 9 Olson Road.
Linwood Swett will give a demonstration on how to prevent swarming using the Demarree Method.
Weather permitting there will be and open hive, so bring your veils.

Historical society to hold clean-up, meeting
WOODSTOCK — The Woodstock Historical Society will have a clean-up day at the Museum at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9.
Following the clean-up, there will be a pot luck supper and monthly meeting. There will be no program this month.
Fire department hosting public supper May 9
PARIS — The Paris Fire Department Auxiliary will host a public supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Paris Fire Station, Western Avenue, South Paris.
All proceeds from the supper will benefit a $1,000 scholarship that the Paris Fire Department Auxiliary has awarded to Matthew Welch, a 2015 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
The cost of the meal is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 4 to 12, and children three and younger are free.
