WILTON — Western Maine Community Action has announced the kickoff of Stand By ME 50+, a pilot project that will offer up to four free, one-on-one financial coaching sessions to Franklin County residents.

The only requirement is that those who wish to participate are more than 50 years of age and want to be in control of their finances.

The goal is to create financial stability for the people of western Maine. There are no hidden fees or an alternative agenda.

Personal financial coaching can help people identify financial goals, map out a plan to achieve them and provide people with the information, support and resources needed to launch a plan and stay on track.

To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-645-9636. The appointment will take about one hour, with 30-minute follow-up appointments scheduled monthly to help keep participants moving forward.
