LEWISTON — Jayden Wilson, Brendan Croteau and Roman Dennis each scored a pair of goals as Lewiston shook off Edward Little 7-4 in a boys’ lacrosse game Thursday.

The undefeated Blue Devils (7-0) opened up on the Red Eddies (2-5) in the first quarter with three goals. But EL wasn’t about to roll over and punched in three goals in the final quarter.

Lewiston’s Griffin Wade scored and added three assists.

For EL, Ethan Nadeau turned in a hat trick and Kaleb Maine added a goal.

Mt. Ararat 16, Oxford Hills 6

TOPSHAM — Jason Magro scored four goals and Kyle Lussier punched in three as Mt. Ararat (2-4) rolled to a 16-6 romp over Oxford Hills (0-6) in a boys’ lacrosse game Thursday.

By halftime, the Eagles were up on top 12-0.

The Vikings’ Kelton Loper, Ian Lejonhud and Finn Williamson each scored two goals.

Softball

Lisbon 24, St. Dom’s 2

LISBON — Kailyn Hill went 3-for-4 and smash a grand slam as Lisbon overwhelmed St. Dom’s in a 24-2 softball victory Thursday.

The Greyhounds exploded with 16 runs in the second inning before the 12-run mercy rule was invoked in the the fifth inning

Arianna Kahler went 4-for-4 and drove in three runs. Hill drove in six runs and Amanda Hazelton doubled and singled twice.

For the Saints, Kristen Cornell went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs.

Baseball

Freeport 11, Poland 1

FREEPORT — Colby Wagner homered homered and Freeport used 10 hits to beat Poland 11-1 in a baseball game Thursday.

Freeport’s five-run, third-inning explosion helped the Falcons pull away. Caleb Rice had two hits and drove in three runs.

For the Knights, Alex Biron and Jake Wiseman each had a pair of hits.
