PHILADELPHIA, Miss. — Anthony York has been awarded a $4,000 Yates Companies Inc. scholarship for the first two years of college.

Anthony was selected by a scholarship committee at the Yates Companies, Inc. based upon academics, extra-curricular activities and two short essays.

Anthony will graduate from Spruce Mountain high School this spring and plans to major in criminal justice.

He is the son of Dale York and Linda York.

Anthony’s mother works for American Industrial Construction Inc., a part of the Yates Companies Inc.
