GRAY — Evan Harmer ripped a walk-off single as Gray-New Gloucester squeezed out a 6-5 victory over Traip in baseball action Monday afternoon.
The Rangers (7-3) scored all five of their runs in the top of the fifth inning on a series of Gray-New Gloucester errors. Traip’s pitcher, Josh Schneider, had been relieved in the fourth inning.
The Patriots (5-6) scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to tie the game at 5-5.
The game was still tied 5-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Patriots loaded the bases. A fly-out to left field turned into a double play with the third base runner being tagged out at the plate.
Harmer came to the plate next and singled home John-Henry Villaneuva from second base.
Madison 4, Monmouth 0
MONMOUTH — Sophomore catcher Ryan Emery had two hits, including a double, as Madison blanked Monmouth 4-0 in MVC baseball action Monday afternoon.
The Mustangs (8-3) held Madison scoreless through five innings, until they put up a run in the top of the sixth. Junior pitcher Chase Malloy contributed a triple on offense and picked up the complete game win on the mound.
Junior left fielder Tom Small had two singles for Monmouth.
Oak Hill 10, Boothbay 4
WALES — Jake Bannister made up for his first inning on the mound with three hits as Oak Hill sailed to a 10-4 victory over Boothbay in baseball action Monday afternoon.
The Seahawks (0-11) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning when Bannister allowed four walks and the Raiders (4-7) committed two errors.
Matt Clifford relieved Bannister and tossed a hitless six innings of relief, striking out six.
The pitcher, Nick Burge, manufactured the lone hit for Boothbay.
Dirigo 5, Hall-Dale 0
DIXFIELD — Senior third baseman Kaine Huthcins had a pair of singles and an RBI on each hit as Dirigo jettisoned Hall-Dale 5-0 in MVC baseball action Monday afternoon.
With this win, the Cougars (10-1) have secured their fourth straight shutout. Junior pitcher Gavin Arsenault fanned eight batters for the complete game win.
Junior catcher Sam Moulton had two of the Bulldogs (7-4) five hits.
Lisbon 11, Telstar 1
LISBON — Noah Francis and Tyler Halls combined to shut down Telstar on Monday as they rolled to a 11-1 rout of the Rebels in MVC baseball action.
Kyle Bourget led the Greyhounds (8-2) with a three-run double, while RJ Sargent and Austin Fournier each drove in a run.
The Rebels (3-8) were paced by Chris Chappie with an RBI single in the first. Hunter Williamson and Josh Eliot also posted hits for Telstar.
Edward Little 4, Skowhegan 0
SKOWHEGAN — Damien St. Pierre struck out seven, walked one and received adequate run support as Edward Little shut down Skowhegan, 4-0, in a KVAC baseball matchup Monday.
Luke Sterling led the Red Eddies (8-3) with a two-out, two-run single in the fourth inning. Lew Jensen also contributed with an RBI single in the first.
Dylan Blanchet led the Indians (3-8) with a double.
York 9, Poland 1
YORK — After sprinting out to a three-run advantage in the first frame, York never eased off the gas and raced away to post a 9-1 win over Poland in WMC baseball action Monday.
Alex Biron led the Knights (3-9) with two hits and one RBI, while Isaiah Dubois belted out a hit.
Zach Lowe worked the first two frames for Poland and was tagged with the loss.
Leavitt 11, Spruce Mountain 7
JAY — Leavitt erupted for five runs in the seventh inning and sped away to a 11-7 victory over Spruce Mountain in more MVC baseball action Monday.
Nick Angelo led the high-powered Hornets with four RBIs, while Zac Dymond went 3-for4 with a triple. Julian Kirouac also contributed for Leavitt with an RBI triple.
Noah Preble led the Phoenix with a pair of hits, while starter Nate Goodine suffered the loss.

Oak Hill 9, Erskine 6
SOUTH CHINA — Junior attackman Brendon Tervo netted four goals as Oak Hill snared a 9-6 victory over Erskine Academy in boys’ lacrosse action Monday afternoon.
Senior attackman Matt Gilbert tallied a pair of goals and an assist as the Raiders picked up steam to secure the win in the second half.
Sophomore midfielder Jacob Greenwood landed his first career varsity goal in the contest for Oak Hill.

Oak Hill 8, Boothbay 0
WALES — Makayla Nadeau scattered three hits and drew adequate run support as Oak Hill continued its strong 2015 campaign with a 8-0 romp over Boothbay in MVC soft
Kayla Veilleux belted a two-run double in the third to lead the Raiders (8-3), while Nadeau helped her own cause with a double and two RBIs. Sara Noel also belted out a double for Oak Hill.
Brewer 10, Mt. Blue 7 (8 inn.)
FARMINGTON — Brewer rallied for three runs in the eighth inning to record a 10-7 victory over Mt. Blue on Monday.
Anna Chute belted a three-run homer in the sixth.
The Cougars (4-7) battled back after a two-run single by Rachele Bator. Kenna Beal plated Emily Green in the seventh to send the contest into extra frames.
Mt. Blue gave up three unearned runs in the eighth after two outs were recorded.
Bangor 17, Lewiston 3
LEWISTON — Cordelia Stewart scatted five hits and drew ample run support monday as Bangor rolled to a 17-3 victory over Lewiston in a lop-sided KVAC softball tilt.
Emily Reilly led the powerhouse Rams (10-1) with three hits and three RBIs, while Stewart helped her own cause with two hits and three RBIs. Sarah Bragg also contributed with one RBI on a pair of hits.
Megan Theriault led the winless Blue Devils (0-11) with two hits and two RBIs, while Maggie Phelan belted out a pair of hits.
Edward Little 6, Skowhegan 1
SKOWHEGAN — Sarah Hammond scattered five hits and struck out 11 Monday as Edward Little overpowered Skowhegan, 6-1, in KVAC softball action.
Hannah Smith and Jordyn Reynolds led the Red Eddies (7-4) with two hits and one RBI each, while Emmy Lashua pounded out three hits.
The Indians (8-3) were paced by Eliza Bedard with two hits, including an RBI double.
Leavitt 8, Spruce Mountain 6
JAY — Left fielder Morgan Knowlton and short stop Angela Daigle scattered three hits each as Leavitt held on for an 8-6 victory over Spruce Mountain in KVAC softball action Monday afternoon.
The Hornets (7-3) led 5-4 after six innings, and added three runs to their tally in the top of the seventh.
The Phoenix (3-7) attempted to rise from the ashes, but only scored a pair of runs while leaving the bases load
