Newman is fellowship-trained in total hip and knee reconstruction. His experience as an orthopaedic surgeon includes 16 years of active duty Navy service with the past five years as chief of joint replacement at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. His specialties include total joint replacement, general orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine.
