1920 – 2015

RANGELEY — William “Bill” Ellis, a native of Rangeley, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 25.

Bill enjoyed his family, the Rangeley area, traveling, visiting new cultures, skiing on Saddleback Mountain, sailing on Rangeley Lake and especially his garden, which gave him the opportunity to share his knowledge and plants with friends. He also was an avid reader and loved thinking about how all things work and what might be possible.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his children, Kathi, Reed, Peggy and Britt; in-laws, Ursula, David and Shari; and grandchildren, Lindsey, Nick, Samantha, Casey and Leighann.

The family would like to thank the staff of Sandy River Center and Beacon Hospice for their care and support over these past few months, and also his many friends for enriching his life.
