LIVERMORE FALLS — Twenty-six teachers received continuing or probationary contracts at a special Regional School Unit 73 board meeting Monday night.

Healey said the following teachers were approved for a first-year contract for 2015-16: Angela Blaise and Nathan Harnden, Livermore Elementary School; and Daniel Labonte, Jay Elementary School.

Receiving a third-year probationary contract for 2015-16 were: Jessica Ellingwood-Simpson, Spruce Mountain High School; Libby Cronkite, Michael Lance, Jay Lindsey, Brian Fielding, Kimberly Hilton, Charles Stratton, Spruce Mountain Middle School; Danielle Caron, Denelle Bryant, Jay Elementary School; Angela Frey, Amanda Hinkley, Rachel Toner, Ashlee Giroux, Kelly Lake, Karen McDonald,   Kayla Schuster, Livermore Elementary School; Alina Steadman, nurse Jennifer Kachnovich, Tanya Perreault, Jay Elementary School; Brooke Bernier, Charlene Roussel, Courtney Flagg, Sarah Wardwell, Spruce Mountain High School.

Also at the meeting, a longtime Jay representative Darcie Calden was presented with a gift and thanked for her service to the district. Superintendent Kenneth Healey said Calden was presented with a book and a special thanks for representing her town. Her last board meeting was Monday.

A new representative likely will be chosen during next week’s election.

The next regular board meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at the RSU 73 Central Office in Livermore Falls.
