POLAND —  The Undertones and the Blue Knight Revue will kick off the Poland Spring Preservation Society’s summer concert series on Monday, June 15 at the All Souls Chapel.

Tickets are $7.50, and may be purchased at the door.

Both groups are based at Poland Regional High School. The Undertones, an a cappella group, comprises male and female students who have a passion for singing contemporary music with minimal or no instrumentation. These students meet once a week every week to rehearse. Often students will break into small groups to tackle different pieces of music. In a cappella meetings, students learn how to listen critically and self-direct rehearsals and performances.

The Blue Knight Revue is a show band from PRHS. Using pop music being played on today’s Internet and airwaves, this ensemble practices weekly to learn the intangible aspects of performing.

The doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 7.
