FARMINGTON — On June 17, the Maine Woods Tourism Training Initiative will host Marilynne Mann, instructor in the School of Hospitality, Sport and Tourism Management at Husson University, for a one-of-a-kind workshop focusing on managing for great customer service.
The workshop will cover such areas as delivering quality service using standards that meet the needs of guests, developing the right employees through training, involving staff in the process of creating product, developing feedback systems and rewarding employees.
The workshop will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the University of Maine at Farmington in North Dining Hall A. Lunch will be served. There is a charge of $10 per person with a discount given if several people from one business attend.
