MECHANIC FALLS — Voters on Tuesday approved a proposed $2.39 million municipal budget.
All 34 articles passed by relatively comfortable margins, with Town Clerk Shirley Marquis noting that the narrowest approval for an individual article was 93-58.
Voters also approved a proposal allowing municipal officials to seek a $500,000 bond for road paving. The paving bond passed by a vote of 117-34.
The money will fund a road paving project that is expected to pave about 3 miles of roadway this summer.
Marquis reported that 153 voters turned out at the polls on Tuesday, a number that was less than half of last year’s turnout of about 340.
