LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will hold another L-A Lunch and Learn workshop, “EMV Liability Switch: What Local Businesses Need to Know!” from noon to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at The Chamber, 415 Lisbon St. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.

In the fall there will be a huge change in the world of payment acceptance as liability shifts from payment card issuers to businesses. Ernie Moran, vice president of the Community Bank Channel at Elavon will be speaking on new Chip Card/EMV technology, how it fits with Apple Pay, and what businesses must do to be prepared for the liability shift.

Moran is a payments industry professional with more than 15 years of experience working with community banks and small-business owners.
