AUBURN — The Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments is offering a free, two-hour workshop titled Starting Your Own Small Business — Is It Right For You? Ot will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 24, at AVCOG, 125 Manley Road, Auburn.

A Maine Small Business Development Centers business counselor will cover all aspects of owning a business, the steps needed to get started and connect those interested to the many resources available.

Topics to be discussed will include: Do I need a license or certification? Where do I go for financing and how? Will I need a business plan? And any other questions attendees need answered.
