Jay bible school begins June 22

JAY — Bean’s Corner Baptist Church will hold its annual Vacation Bible School Monday through Friday, June 22 to 26.

The theme this year is “SonSpark Labs” and will include lively songs, games, crafts, snacks and Bible lessons. Classes will be held for children aged 4 through sixth grade.

There is no charge. Registration is encouraged.

North Livermore Baptist Church hosts Vacation Bible School

LIVERMORE — The North Livermore Baptist Church will host “SonRise National Park!” Vacation Bible School for children aged 4 to 12 from Monday, June 22, through Friday, June 26, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Children will sing songs, watch skits, create crafts, play games and discover what Jesus provides.

On the final night, Josh Sparks of Spark’s Ark will visit the church with several of animals that he has rescued and rehabilitated.

The church is located at 619 Federal Road, Route 4.

Salad festival set for June 27

PARIS — A summer salad festival with roast turkey and baked ham will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at Deering Memorial Methodist Church, 39 Main St.

Homemade ice cream with fresh strawberries will be for dessert.

Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

Parking is available behind the library and town office.
