BJU students named to President’s List
GREENVILLE, S.C.— The following students are among approximately 480 Bob Jones University students named to the President’s List for high academic achievement during the spring 2015 semester. To qualify for the President’s List, students must earn a 3.75 or higher GPA.
Brian Hand of Farmington: Hand is a sophomore engineering major at BJU.
Ashley McNally of Raymond: McNally is a junior Science Education major at BJU.
Heather McNally of Raymond: McNally is a senior Cross-Cultural Service major at BJU.
Local students graduate from Bowdoin College
BRUNSWICK — During Bowdoin College’s 210th Commencement ceremony, held May 23, B.A. degrees were awarded to students from 36 states, the District of Columbia and 18 other countries and territories.
Among the graduates were local students:
Shelby Aseltine, of Wilton, with a major in English and a minor in teaching.
Cleo Daoud, of Rumford, with a major in physics.
Tyler DeAngelis, of Readfield, with a major in Environmental Studies-Biology and a minor in teaching.
Cody Dussault, of Lewiston, with a major in economics and a minor in psychology.
Jacob Moody, of Poland, with a major in mathematics and a minor in chemistry.
Cameron Woodford, of Minot, with a major in economics.
Local students named to spring dean’s list
SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Local residents were among the 833 students named to Susquehanna University’s dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester. The dean’s list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or higher out of a possible 4.0 for the semester. To qualify, students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.
Greta-Anne Castonguay, of Turner, is a biology major in the Class of 2016. A 2012 graduate of Leavitt Area High School, she is the daughter of David and Gisele Castonguay.
Jacob Lapierre, of Poland, is a psychology major in the Class of 2015. A 2011 graduate of Lewiston High School, he is the son of Gerry and Brenda Lapierre.
Bethel resident’s graduation announced at Lasell College 2015 Commencement
NEWTON, Mass. — Jameson Pike, of Bethel, received a B.A. degree from Lasell College in December 2014. The achievement was announced during commencement exercises on the Newton, Mass., campus in May 2015. Pike majored in Graphic Design.
Johnson State College confers 409 degrees at 2015 commencement
JOHNSON, Vt. — Johnson State College’s 148th commencement took place Saturday, May 16, on the South Lawn of the JSC campus, overlooking College Hill.
Alyssa Greene, of Turner, earned a B.A. degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management.
