AUBURN — The YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston has announced its July programs for children and adults. All programs take place at 62 Turner St. in Auburn, with the exception of Camp Connor and Teen Leadership Camp. The following events will take place in July:
Disney-themed Dance Camp: A new program at the Y, Dance Camp will be led by Jessica Trammel. For ages three-to-six. Weekly sessions available through Aug. 14.
Gymnastics: For children 3½ years through teens. Program runs June 30 through July 25.
Zumba: The Y is offering Zumba on land and in the pool from now to October. The event is free to Y members, $8 per class for non-members.
Active older adults living fit classes: Adults 45-years-old and older can take part in an exercise class geared toward their strength and mobility needs. The class is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is free to members, day pass rates for non-members.
Emily’s Run: The second in the Triple Crown 5k race series, Emily’s Run takes place July 19. Runners can sign up at www.triplecrown5k.com.
Summer day camps: Registration is still open for Camp Connor, Y Kids Camp and Teen Leadership Camp. These camps are for children entering kindergartern through tenth grade. Weekly sessions available now through Aug. 21.
Group exercise classes: There are multiple classes available, seven days a week, including Aqua Zumba in the pool. Those interested should visit www.alymca.org or visit the YMCA Welcome Center for a complete schedule.
Pre-registration is required for most events. Some fees apply, and financial assistance is available for qualifying individuals and families.
