LISBON — Police arrested a Lewiston man Wednesday on drug charges at the Sabattus Creek Trailer Park.

Assama-VI Koumou-Nete, aka David Koumou-Nete, 29 of Lewiston  was charged with trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs — Cocaine, according a news statement from Bill Tapley of the Lisbon Police Department. Tapley wrote the arrest was part of a several month investigation into complaints of drug activity from citizens in the park.

When law enforcement agents entered the home, they said they saw Koumou-Nete was manufacturing crack cocaine, according to the statement.

Agents estimated the street value of the value of the seized cocaine was $1,600, but it would have been worth about $5,500 as crack  cocaine.

The Lisbon Police Department’s resident agent assigned to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Western Maine Task Force Office led the investigation.
