LEWISTON — Dr. Patrick Reeder, DC, CCSP, has obtained the postgraduate designation of Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP) by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians.

The CCSP certification requires the doctor to attend a minimum of 100 hours of postgraduate instruction specific to physical fitness and the evaluation and treatment of injuries encountered in sports. Following the completion of these hours, Reeder had to pass a comprehensive written exam.

This training will aid Reeder in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of athletic injuries of his patients. The CCSP certification exists to provide a uniform standard of education that assures teams and athletes of the doctor’s competency in chiropractic sports medicine.

Reeder has been practicing as a doctor of chiropractic for seven years at Reeder Chiropractic Healthcare, 625 Main St., Lewiston.
