Norlands to be scanned
LIVERMORE — Using 21st century technology to study the past, the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center and a team from Autodesk, Bath Ironworks and National Geographic will conduct a comprehensive survey of the Norlands’ property using state of the art LiDAR and UAV based photogrammetry technology. Led by Washburn descendant, Pete Kelsey, the team will create a photorealistic, 3D, survey-grade accurate computer model of the 19th century site and structures and 4K aerial video for use in historic preservation, operations and maintenance, public outreach and education.
The public is invited to join the project team for a brief presentation and discussion on the technology, the data captured, and the many ways the data can be used at 1p.m. Wednesday, July 29. The presentation is free to the public.

Arts night planned July 30
NORWAY — Members of the Christ Episcopal Church parish will come together to share through the arts on Thursday, July 30.
Visual art will be on display starting at 6 p.m., and performance arts will be shared starting at 6:30 p.m. Desserts, coffee, and tea will be served following the performances.
The event is open to the public. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
Community Fun Day planned
BUCKFIELD — The Buckfield Community Fun Day sponsored by Faith Bible Chapel is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Town Hall.
The event will feature free food, music, bouncing house, crafts and a grab-bag for the children.
A rain date is scheduled for the following week on Saturday, Aug. 8.
Church to hold spaghetti, bean supper
POWNAL — The North Pownal United Methodist Church will hold a public baked bean and spaghetti supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, at 851 Lawrence Road.
Three kinds of beans, spaghetti with meat sauce, potato salad and coleslaw will be on the menu. The cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children ages 4 to 12. Children younger than 3 are free. The event is wheelchair accessible.

Get on Board lessons offered
LEWISTON — Rye Airfield Skateboard Park, located in Rye, N.H., is bringing their mobile park to the National Night Out from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.
The “Get on Board skateboarding lessons and demonstrations are sponsored by the Lewiston/Auburn Optimist Club.
