LEWISTON — Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice has announced the Heart of Hospice Award has been awarded to Dan Gauvin and the entire team at S.G. Thibault Funeral Home of Rumford and the Rumford Eagles Auxiliary.
The award is presented to individuals or organizations that understand and embrace the mission of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and its hospice program.
Nominations come directly from the hospice interdisciplinary staff to honor those who demonstrate exceptional commitment, compassion and shared support of hospice patients and the hospice team at AHCH.
Thibault Funeral Home has recognized and partnered with AHCH hospice for many years. It provides an annual in-service to hospice providers, mindful that clinical staff require ongoing continuing education credits, as well as sponsoring the annual St. Patrick’s Day fundraiser, hosted by the Rumford Eagles Auxiliary with all proceeds going to support hospice care.
The Rumford Eagles Auxiliary Club exemplifies service to others and has been a supporter of AHCH Hospice for many years. For the past five years, AHCH hospice staff have attended this fundraiser.
