NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine, 199 Main St. (oncology building), Norway, announces events for September.

Sept. 1: Cancer Support Group for Women, noon to 1:30 p.m. FMI: 702-744-6173.

Sept. 10: Coloring for adults, 1-2:30 p.m. Area artists Tally Decato and Pam Berry, leaders, initial experience in drawing for fun using pencil and paper.

Sept. 11: Sit and knit for beginners, 10-11:30 a.m. Learn to cast on and practice knitting.

Sept. 14: Stamping up, from 2-3:30 p.m.

Sept. 17: Coloring for adults, 1-2:30 p.m.

Sept. 18: Sit and knit, 10-11:30 a.m. Learn how to knit a washcloth, Kathy Jillson.

Sept. 21: How to make a bracelet from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Lively Accents, 310 Main St., Norway.

Sept. 24: Coloring for adults 1-2:30 p.m.

Sept. 25: Sit and knit, 10-11:30 a.m. Learn how to knit a chemo hat, Jillson.

Sept. 29: Shopping the aisles for cancer prevention — join Oxford Hannaford dietitian Dona Forke from 10-11:30 a.m. for a free, interactive nutrition tour. Call 207-890-7063 or 207-807-0226 to pre-register.

Beginning Sept 10, the Cancer Resource Center will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday and Friday. Library available with pamphlets and comfort items.
