The Main Street Gallery, 426 Main St., Norway, will continue its summer season with a First Friday Reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4. The gallery will exhibit the work of fine artists and artisans living and working in Western Maine. September’s theme is “Red Hot,” works featuring the color red. During the reception, the gallery’s artist of the month, Irina Kahn, will give a short talk on her work. Kahn has pursued self-expression in oil, watercolor, pastel and acrylics. This show will focus on flora, landscapes and birds. During the summer season, the gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, art classes, demonstrations and special trips sponsored by the WMAG, visit www.westernmaineartgroup.org. The gallery is free and open to the public.
