AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Authorities say a Maine man broke into a home while naked and punched a 65-year-old resident three times in the face.

Police charged 43-year-old Jonathan Choate of Waterville with criminal trespass, criminal mischief and assault.

Chief Deputy Ryan Reardon says the Farmingdale home’s owner called police around 4 a.m. Sunday. Authorities found the still-naked Choate sitting on the home’s front porch. He was given a blanket and taken into custody.

Reardon says Choate told authorities he thought he was in Gardiner with a woman he knew and that he had no memory of how he arrived in Farmingdale.

The Kennebec Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1VZGXBT ) Choate pleaded not guilty to all charges Monday.

The lawyer representing Choate says he has no criminal record.
