JAY — Two drivers were injured Friday afternoon when their vehicles collided, causing one to flip on its roof and slide along Route 4, police said.
The driver of a 2000 Ford Taurus, Kimberly Farrington, 46, of Jay, received minor injuries and was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington by a NorthStar ambulance, Jay police Chief Richard Caton IV said.
Herschel Noyes, 86, of Carthage, driving a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup truck, had minor injuries to his arm and hand, Caton said.
Farrington was driving north at about 3 p.m. and attempted to turn right into Sunshine Pools when the truck struck the back of her car. Noyes didn’t see her lights, he said at the scene.
No charges have been filed, Caton said.
A crew from Hilltop Collision Center righted the truck and hauled it away.
Jay police officer Dylan Rider and members of Jay Fire Department and Wilton Police Department assisted at the scene.
