SALEM — Court Talmage had a goal and assist to lead the Mt. Abram to the 3-0 victory over Dirigo in a Mountain Valley Conference boys’ soccer game.
Talmage found Michael Martin 8:34 into the opening half to open the scoring. With eight minutes left, Talmage’s strike from 20 yards out found the back of the net to give the Roadrunners (3-4) the 2-0 lead. Johnny May capped the scoring with three minutes remaining.
Seth Thomas stopped all six Dirigo shots he faced as the Mt. Abram goalie. Justin Gagnon made 10 saves for Dirigo (1-7).
Hall-Dale 2, Telstar 1
BETHEL — It was a tight battle between the Telstar Rebels and the Hall-Dale Bulldogs as the Bulldogs came away with the 2-1 victory in boys’ soccer action.
Tyler Nadeau picked up the Bulldogs first goal with 13:34 remaining to play in the opening half. Tyler Dubois scored two minutes later for Hall-Dale’s second goal.
Avery Griffin scored Telstar’s lone goal in the first half.
Jett Boyer only needed to make six saves in the victory while Tanner Wheeler stopped 15 shots for Telstar.
