PORTLAND — A release party for the first official Damnationland soundtrack will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at Geno’s Rock Club, 625 Congress St.
Now in its sixth year, Damnationland is an invitational Maine-based short genre film fest, featuring the best filmmakers and films from Maine.
Participating artists from the soundtrack will perform live sets of their songs in addition to original material, starting at 9 p.m. The soundtrack CD will be available for purchase along with Damnationland T-shirts and DVDs, and giveaways will be held throughout the evening. Previous Damnationland films will also be projected into the space. There will be a $7 cover charge at the door.
The soundtrack features music from this year’s films as well as exclusive spooky tracks from local bands. A trailer and information about the soundtrack is available on the Damnationland website: http://damnationland.com
The Damnationland 2015 soundtrack is produced by Portland residents Remy Brecht and Eddy Bolz, and Lewiston-Auburn native RJ Wilson. It showcases unreleased music from local musicians that were either specifically composed for this year’s Damnationland films or recorded for the soundtrack itself.
