BETHEL — Lauren Henderson scored a pair of goals, leading Dirigo to a 6-2 victory over Telstar (3-10) in a field hockey game Wednesday.

The Rebels were leading 2-1 at the half before the Cougars unloaded four goals in the second half.

Sophia Jacques, Ashley Walker, Emma Lueders and Sabrina Daoud each scored goals for Dirigo.

For Telstar, Becca Howard scored both goals, with Olivia York picking up an assist on one of them.

Hall-Dale 2, Mt. Abram 0

FARMINGDALE — Hall-Dale broke a scoreless tie with two second-half goals Wednesday in a 2-0 win over Mt. Abram in Mountain Valley Conference girls’ soccer.

Signe Lynch and Dani Sweet had the goals for the Bulldogs while Lilly Ly assisted on both. Lynch scored at 36:17 to break the scoreless game in the second half. Then Sweet scored at 27:41.

The Dogs outshot the Roadrunners, 11-4.

Mountain Valley 0, Carrabec 0

RUMFORD — Carrabec and Mountain Valley battled to a 0-0 tie after two overtimes in a girls’ soccer game Wednesday.

Carrabec outshot Mountain Valley 18-12. Falcons goalie Karen Flaherty made 18 saves, while her counterpart Kelsey Creamer stopped eight.

College

SMCC 1, CMCC 0

SOUTH PORTLAND — Brandon Ford scored on a penalty kick in the second half to lift Southern Maine Community College to a 1-0 win over Central Maine Community College in men’s soccer Wednesday.

After a scoreless first half, a trip in the box led to Ford’s penalty kick and game-winner. CMCC had a bid with 15 minutes left in the game on a Fiston Mubalama shot. CMCC thought it had tied the game but the officials said it didn’t cross the line.

Drew Martin posted the shutout with six saves. Zachary Lowe made 12 stops for CMCC.
