1950 – 2015

AUBURN — Carol Doughty of Auburn passed away peacefully in her home on Oct. 5. Carol will be forever remembered by her loving family.

Carol had a strong passion for cooking. Family gatherings around a table she had prepared was when she was most joyful, always seated next to her grandchildren. Her infectious smile, gentle touch and quiet strength will always be remembered. Carol also enjoyed long car rides and fishing trips with Tim, always with a book in tote. Some of Carol’s life achievements include graduating with national honors from Edward Little High School in 1968 and going on to graduate from Central Maine Vocational Institute, earning her associate’s degree in graphic arts. In April of 1970, Carol met the love of her life, Tim. They were married in September of 1970. In 1975 they began their journey into parenthood with the arrival of Kevin, and Robin in 1977.

Carol is survived by Tim; her two children, Kevin Doughty and his wife, Kristina, of Lisbon Falls, and Robin Berube and her husband, Chris, of Auburn; and Carol’s beloved grandchildren, Ethan and Gavin. Carol is also survived by three brothers and three sisters, Delmar, Ernie, Rick, Donna, Kathy and Wanda.

Carol was predeceased by her father, Delmar; two brothers, Johnny and Gary; and her mother, Linda.
