Auburn student on spring dean’s list
BABSON PARK, Mass. — Babson College has announced Brittany Myrick of Auburn, a student in the class of 2018, has qualified for the spring semester dean’s list, which recognizes outstanding student scholarship.
Students enroll at St. Lawrence University

Reynolds graduates from University of Maine at Augusta
AUGUSTA — Dionna Reynolds, formerly of Kingfield, recently graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree from the University of Maine at Augusta. Reynolds majored in business administration with a minor in psychology. She also completed extensive coursework in social work at the University of Southern Maine, and received the Golden Key award for maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
Alexandria Dean receives Skookum Award
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Alexandria N. Dean of Lewiston was recently named a recipient of the Skookum Award, an honor presented by Western New England University’s Alumni Association.
The Skookum is awarded to students who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in all their endeavors: academics, co-curricular activities, sports and community service.
“Skookum” is the Native American Chinook Indian word meaning “excellence.” Dean was one of 15 outstanding students to receive an award at the ceremony.
Majoring in arts and entertainment management, Dean is on the executive board for Campus Activities Board (CAB). She has chaired the Spirit and Homecoming Committee, the Diversity and Alternative Entertainment Committee and the Spring Event Hospitality Committee.
Dean is devoted to the United and Mutually Equal Club, serving as historian, and is a mentor with the Connections Mentoring Program, a program of the Office of Diversity, which supports and guides international, first generation and under-represented students in areas such as academics, personal development and social development.
After graduation, Dean hopes to work in the field of venue and operations management.
Leavitt Area High School graduate presents research
SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Greta-Anne Castonguay of Turner presented research at the seventh annual Landmark Conference Summer Research Symposium at Goucher College this summer.
Students from Susquehanna were joined at the symposium by peers from Moravian, Goucher and Juniata colleges, all schools in the Landmark Athletic Conference. The symposium featured 12 academic discussions and 64 poster presentations on a variety of research, in such areas as physics, biochemistry, biology, ecology, environmental science, mathematics, history, economics and computer science.
Castonguay’s research, conducted with Jan Reichard-Brown, concerned changes in primary mesenchyme cell quantity and migration in response to thalidomide exposure.
Castonguay is a biology major in the Class of 2016. A 2012 graduate of Leavitt Area High School, she is the daughter of David and Gisele Castonguay.
Nolette is Honors Program student
KEENE, N.H. — Lea Nolette is joining Keene State College as an Honors Program student
Nolette, of Dixfield, is among a group of outstanding students with a diverse array of academic and social interests.
The Morris-August Honors Program includes six honors courses, with different course selections each semester.
Grotton n Dean’s List at RIT
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Benjamin Grotton of Topsham made the Dean’s List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the Summer 2015 term.
Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean’s List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of “Incomplete,” “D” or “F”; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.
