LEWISTON — The current Off-Broadway hit, “Men are from Mars – Women are from Venus — LIVE!” comes to The Public Theatre for one weekend only, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 6, 7, and 8. This one-man fusion of theater and stand-up, is a light-hearted comedy based on the New York Times No. 1 best-selling book of the last decade by John Gray.

Moving swiftly through a series of vignettes, this hilarious show tackles everything about men and women from dating to mating to marriage, encouraging couples to affectionately elbow each other all evening long as they see themselves on stage. Sexy and fast paced, this show is definitely for adults, but will leave audiences laughing and giggling like little kids!

In addition to great “date-night” entertainment, The Public Theatre’s 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6, show will feature a free pre-show wine-tasting, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the theater, presented by Marche Kitchen and Wine Bar.

Since its publication in 1992, John Gray’s famous book exploring the differences between the sexes, has sold more than 50 million copies, and become one of the most recognizable titles in the world. Mixing storytelling with comedy and a dash of sage wisdom from the book, Elle Magazine says about the show “Men are from Mars — Women are from Venus-LIVE!,” “You’ll leave the theatre with the intent to live in harmony with your partner. It’s not to be missed.”
