LEWISTON — On Sept. 25, Modula System Logistics Corp. celebrated the official opening of its state-of-the-art factory at 90 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway.

Geared up to produce the company’s full line of innovative automated picking and storage technologies, this $10 million investment will better serve the North American market by offering market-leading delivery times and local support.

Attending U.S. Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, federal, state and local representatives and Italian consul and trade officials. Modula’s holding company system group Chairman Franco Stefani and system group CEO Luigi Panzetti were also in attendance to mark this important strategic investment and to greet the top accounts from the aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, packaging and food sector.

Following a welcome speech and the ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests were given a tour of the 100,000-square-foot facility which has 50 workers. The visit emphasized how automation improves safety, productivity and contributes to develop employee talent. It also offered a glimpse of how Modula has positioned itself to stand out in the market by delivering “Made in USA” units with a quick delivery program.
