PORTLAND — One Longfellow Square has announced a New Year’s Day performance featuring legendary singer-songwriter Ellis Paul.
“Ellis sells out each time he plays at OLS. We’re really excited to be welcoming 2016 with a venue full of good tunes and good folks!” said Liz Pettengill, of One Longfellow Square.
Paul is an inspiring performer with a rare talent for telling his own personal stories along with documenting various stages of society through his songs. Though some may refer to him as a folksinger, he is more of a singular storyteller, a musician whose words reach out from inside and yet also express the feelings, thoughts and sensibilities that most people can relate to in one way or another, regardless of age or upbringing.
When he’s not busy performing to sold-out audiences, Paul fills his time with philanthropy, recently performing in a benefit concert that raised $3,000 for a Newton, Massachusetts, food pantry.
Tickets for this intimate performance cost $22 in advance and are available online at www.onelongfellowsquare.com.
