RICHMOND, British Columbia — Catalyst Paper announces the recipients of its 2015 President’s Award, a company program that recognizes employees who have made a direct and beneficial impact on Catalyst’s financial performance and business results.

Recipients were nominated for this prestigious annual award by their co-workers and selected by an executive and operations management panel.

The 2015 President’s Award recipients and their partners travelled to Vancouver for a celebratory event where each was individually acknowledged for his or her particular expertise and contribution. Innovation, problem solving, cost reduction and a willingness to “step up” and take ownership of work responsibilities were common characteristics of award-worthy performance.

This year’s President’s Award recipients from the Rumford Division in Maine include: Victor Austin, stock prep; Craig Blodgett, technical manager; Michael Briere, operator, R10 paper machine; Daniel Gallant, R10 paper machine, fourth hand, operator, R12 paper machine.
