Veterans are hosting two memorial events Wednesday, Nov. 11, in the Farmington area.

In Farmington, a wreath-laying ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the World War I Arch on Main Street. Wreath-laying ceremonies will follow at memorials in Meetinghouse Park and the American Legion Hall.

Participants are invited into the hall for a light lunch after the ceremony.

At 1 p.m., a Veterans Day service and celebration of work done in Red Schoolhouse Cemetery will take place in the parking area behind Wal-Mart.

At 10 a.m. in Wilton, a Veterans Day service will be held at the monument on Main Street.
