PARIS — James Walsh, 43, formerly of Brownfield, was arrested early Friday morning on charges of disorderly conduct and failure to submit to arrest, according an Oxford County Jail corrections officer.

Walsh’s brother, Ken Walsh, said James became upset at a Paris motel late Thursday night while discussing his civil trial in Oxford County Superior Court in Paris that day.

Walsh was released on bail later Friday, a corrections officer said.

Walsh filed a civil suit against his neighbor, Keith Brain of Moore Road in Brownfield, after Brain shot him in the leg and arm outside Walsh’s house in July 2010. The trial ended late Friday with the jury awarding Walsh $250,000 for injuries.
