RUMFORD — Among the calls answered by the Rumford Police Department recently were:

* Dec. 3, 3:01 p.m.: A Somerset Street resident reported the theft of knives from a property where he previously lived. Sgt. Doug Maifeld is investigating.

* Dec. 3, 2:06 p.m.: A Waldo Street resident reported someone entered the apartment and stole her television. Sgt. Maifeld is investigating.

* Dec. 3, 7:31 a.m.: A Pine Street resident reported someone entered his residence and stole several items. Detective Peter Casey and Sgt. James Bernard responded. An investigation is underway.

* Dec. 2, 1:29 p.m.: Daniel Pelletier, 36, of Rumford was arrested on an outstanding warrant and transported to Oxford County Jail in Paris.

* Dec. 1, 7:41 a.m.: Shania Jones, 19, of Rumford, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and was transported to Oxford County Jail.

* Nov. 29, 11:15 p.m.: Angela Terrio, 36, of Mexico was arrested on two outstanding warrants for unpaid fines. Terrio was released on $603 cash bail from the Police Department.

* Nov. 28, 3:21 p.m.: A Franklin Street resident reported theft of property that had been delivered. Sgt. Tracey Higley handled the complaint.

* Nov. 26, 12:21 a.m.: A Rumford Avenue resident reported theft of a cellphone. Sgt. Bernard assigned.

* Nov. 25, 8:02 a.m.: A local business reported a shoplifter. Sgt. Maifeld issued a summons to a 51-year-old Mexico male on a charge of theft. His is to appear in court Jan. 11.

* Nov. 24, 11 p.m.: A Waldo Street business reported a male stole alcohol. Patrolman Matthew Desroches arrested a 15-year-old from Rumford on a theft charge and released him to a parent. The teen is to appear in court of Jan. 25.
