RUMFORD — Have you ever thought of doing a stand up comedy routine? Do you have what it takes to make people laugh? Do your family and friends say you could be a stand up comedian? Now’s your chance.
Scot Grassette of 49 Franklin’s Mystic Theater is hosting an open mic comedy night, Saturday, Jan. 30. Local funny people will have the opportunity to take the stage with professional lights and sound equipment and a room full of anxious audience cheering them on and ready to laugh.
Some brave souls have already signed up, but there is room for more. Writing down material is fine. There will be a mic and a podium to hold notes.
It is understood that these comics are amateurs and for some it may be their first time on stage.
