1919 – 2015

AUBURN — Ellen Virginia “Ginny” Britten Larock, 96, of Auburn, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 26, at the Hospice House.

She was born in Syracuse, N.Y., on Nov. 10, 1919, the daughter of the late H. Earl and Maye (O’Hearn) Austin.

She was married to Osborne Brownell who died in 1968 and then married her second husband, Roland Larock, who died in 2002.

Prior to her retirement, she worked many years as an administrative assistant for nonprofits. She was very active at St. Philip’s Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish for many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Schneider and husband, Norman, of Medway, Mass.; a brother, Dr. Carl Austin and wife, Mary, of Syracuse, N.Y.; a step-granddaughter, Patty Vaughn; great-great-stepgrandchildren, Jamie and Thomas Vaughn and his son, Tyler; along with several nieces and nephews.
