Friday, Jan. 1, the Juke Joint Devils will return to Guthries to ring in the new year. The band plays an energetic, swinging blues; a foot-stomping, hip-shaking genre that harkens back to that swampy, riffy, rocky sound people heard in noisy bars. The band’s sound is a mix of  West Coast and Chicago Blues, with a bit of spice from New Orleans and elsewhere.  The show starts at 8 p.m.; there is no cover charge. FMI 207-376-3344.
