1. Two former Farmington residents among six killed in Texas
A former Farmington man and his adult daughter were among six family members killed in November while camping on the daughter’s property near Tennessee Colony, Texas. Carl and Hannah Johnson died in the attack. A Texas man was later charged with six counts of murder.
2. Motorcycle operator killed in Lewiston crash
Chris Moreno, 27, died when his motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck on College Street in Lewiston. It was later revealed that Moreno, on his way to a Thanksgiving party, had been dressed as Batman when he crashed.
3. Lewiston police seize gun after shooting at McDonald’s
It was mayhem on Lisbon Street after a shot was fired outside McDonald’s on the afternoon of Oct. 29. The tire of a minivan was blown out by the shot but no one was hurt. Police were seeking the shooter.
4. After toddler dies, Poland dad warns others of dangers
Local father Jon Guay warned others of the dangers of petting zoos after his 2-year-old son died after contracting a disease caused by E. coli bacteria. The Maine Center for Disease Control & Prevention investigated; officials were unable to link the death to any specific petting zoo.

Drug investigators called the Dec. 22 arrests the result of the largest heroin investigation in Oxford County history.
6. Police: Father backs car into 2-year-old boy in Lewiston
Police said the boy’s father was backing up in a parking lot in front of his Hillview apartment Dec. 21 and didn’t realize his 2-year-old son was behind the car until he heard a thump. The boy was hospitalized and has since returned home.
7. Lewiston woman, 53, killed crossing Lisbon Street
Police said Christine Beaulieu died after being struck by a pickup truck the morning of Dec. 7.
8. Lisbon Street pedestrian hit, killed in Lewiston
Friends identified the victim as Norm Rivard, 86, who tended bar at a nearby club and was headed home when he was struck Nov. 18.
9. Police say dad did not cross centerline in Leeds fatal crash
A preliminary investigation concluded that the driver of the other car crossed the line, hitting Ghislain Cloutier’s vehicle head-on in the late December 2014 crash, killing him and his son.
10. Tim Hortons, Pizza Huts close without explanation
Tim Hortons closed stores in both Lewiston and Auburn in the middle of the day, and a pair of Pizza Huts shut down at two Auburn locations in mid-November.
