AUBURN — City Council meeting and workshop in the City Council Chamber on the second floor of Auburn Hall. The workshop meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and topics include a review of the city’s emergency medical services and fire department grants. The regular meeting follows at 7 p.m. and topics include bonds, fire services grants and council rules regarding meeting places and times.
LEWISTON — Lewiston City Inauguration, swearing in of Mayor Robert Macdonald, newly elected city councilors and school board members, 7 p.m., Franco Center, 46 Cedar St., free and open to the public.
TUESDAY, Jan. 5
LEWISTON — FAFSA Lab for high school seniors and parents, 4-8 p.m., Lewiston High School. Help filling out FAFSA forms. Bring parents’ 2014 tax forms, Social Security numbers, bank statements and driver’s licenses.
AUBURN — Teen Life Skills Series: Nutrition tips class, 3-4 p.m., Auburn Public Library, interactive class on how to choose and prepare healthy meals and beverages; registration requested.
LEWISTON — City Council workshop and regular meeting in the City Council Chamber on the bottom floor of City Hall. The workshop begins at 6 p.m. and topics include a review of the annual financial report and City Council decorum. The regular meeting follows at 7 p.m. and topics include adopting the council rules for the coming year.

AUBURN — Kickoff planning meeting for New Auburn redesign, 6:30 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maine, Auburn/Lewiston, 43 Second St. Plans call for building a riverside greenway and making Second Street more walkable.
