Eastern Star to meet
AUBURN — Pine Cone Chapter 26 Order of the Eastern Star will meet Thursday, Jan. 14, at the Masonic Hall at 1021 Turner St.
The Chapter will honor the side liners, and the traveling emblem for District 4, “Arky,” will be at the meeting.
A potluck supper will be held at 6 p.m. followed by a meet at 7 p.m.
All Eastern Star members are welcome.
Natural remedies explored at The Ark
LEWISTON — Michael and Sonya Tardif, lifestyle counselors and owners of Taste of Eden Restaurant in Norway, will present “Natural Remedies — Medicinal herbs, Poultices and Compresses” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, at The Ark & Olive Branch Cafe, 791 Lisbon St.
The event is free to attend, but registration is required.

Winter quilting class begins
MONMOUTH — The Winter Quilting Class will run from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 19 to April 12, at the Packard Activity Center at the United Church of Monmouth.
The class is open to all who would like to quilt to learn, share ideas and show work.
All are welcome to work on the pattern, a chevron quilt. Admission to the class costs $25.

Cribbage League lists winners
LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners on Jan. 7 were, first, Monique Nadeau and Connie St. Pierre; second, Cindy Boyd and Ed Madden; third, Roland Bosse and Anita Maheux; fourth, Marie Madore and Sandra Oliver; and fifth, Don Haley.
The Seniors play on Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory.
