LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus, western Maine’s designated agency on aging, was the recent beneficiary of $498 raised through the “Hannaford Helps” Reusable Bag Program.

Many consumers who shopped at the Hannaford located at 692 Sabattus St. during the holiday season purchased bright blue Good Karma reusable grocery bags, $1 of the sale price for each purchase going to SeniorsPlus.

SeniorsPlus produces Meals on Wheels for Androscoggin, Oxford, and Franklin counties. During the past year, the Meals On Wheels program delivered 87,000 meals to more than 600 homebound older adults and adults with disabilities in the tri-county area.
