LEWISTON — The Great Falls Forum will host a Youth Arts Showcase on Thursday, Feb. 18.

The program will run from noon to 1 p.m. in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library.

Performers include poets and musicians from Edward Little High School, award-winning visual art by Lewiston High School students, dancers and spoken word artists from Tree Street Youth and teen fiddlers performing traditional French Canadian and Celtic music.

The lineup was curated by Darby Ray, director of Harward Center for Community Partnerships at Bates College, and Cindy Larock, a local arts advocate and educator.

Library Director Rick Speer said he welcomes this opportunity for the library to host such an array of young artists from both sides of the Androscoggin River.

“Our community is blessed with a wealth of talented and creative youth, and school vacation week seemed like the perfect time to showcase what they can do.”
