BATH — Police say a 70-year-old woman was struck and killed by a co-worker’s car as she headed to work in Bath.

It happened Wednesday morning as the woman was crossing Washington Street on her way to work at Bath Iron Works. Police say she died at the scene.

The Bath Police Department identified the victim as Paula Caruso of Wiscasset. She was hit by Edward Buzzell, 57, of Bath, according to police. They say Buzzell has cooperated with the investigation, and no charges were filed as of Wednesday night.
