AUBURN — City police closed a section of Danville Corner Road early Monday afternoon after an oil delivery truck rolled over.
The driver was not injured.
The road was closed shortly after 12:30 p.m. from Old Danville Road to Danbury and Musket drives as the oil company and emergency responders cleaned up roughly 30 gallons of home heating fuel.
The truck, which rolled after hitting a soft shoulder, had been carrying about 1,200 gallons of home heating oil, according to Deputy Fire Chief Geoff Low. The oil remaining in the truck was offloaded to another tanker truck, according to Low.
Representatives of the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and private contractors helped with cleanup.
The road was reopened just before 4 p.m.
