ROXBURY – Residents will vote on a municipal budget of $718,124 at the annual town meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, March 7, at the Town Office.

Treasurer Renee Hodsdon said the Board of Selectmen recommended the amount, but it could go as high as $904,072, “depending how the people vote.”

Hodsdon said Article 32 asks residents to raise and/or appropriate $200,000 to build a salt and sand shed, and to transfer any funds not disbursed on the engineering of it to its construction.

Selectmen, however, recommend residents approve $50,000 to construct the shed.

If the residents approve the full amount, the municipal budget could be higher, Hodsdon said.

Article 61 asks voters to raise and/or appropriate $25,000 in support of the Ellis Pond Watershed projects, and Article 62 asks voters to adopt a cemetery ordinance, which was written and approved by the Board of Selectmen and the Cemetery Committee.

Copies of the Cemetery Ordinance will be available at the annual town meeting.
